Our History

Car Components in Gosport Hampshire was established in 1953. Their main priority has always been to provide an efficient service at affordable prices. We offer a complete scrap vehicle collection and disposal service and stock a wide variety parts which we ship all over the UK.

 The company was started by James Fry and Jack Burnett. In 1969 the management was passed on to James's nephews Roger and Nigel Fry. Today, Car Components is run by Roger’s son and daughter, Rolson and Claire and Roger’s daughter-in-law Nicola. The company has seen many changes in the last 70 years and continually evolves to keep up with the demands and trends in the trade and also ever-changing technology.

We are a fully licenced Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF) and are able to produce Certificates of Destruction for all vehicles purchased by us to scrap. We offer competitive prices for all vehicle types and same day payment by bank transfer or cheque.

Our extensive computer network enables us to source the part you need within seconds. We also offer a fast tyre fitting service.

Car Components is a long-standing member of the Vehicle Recyclers Association (VRA) and the Automotive Recyclers Association (an international body whose aims include the protection of the environment). Environmental issues are extremely important to us.
